Itinerary
Day 1
- Today is the start of your river cruise to see the orangutans and other wildlife.
- Upon arrival at the airport, you will be picked up and transferred to the harbour.
- Then, start cruising down the Sekonyer River on the wooden houseboat called Klotok, where lunch will be served.
- The first stop after 2 hours of cruising is Tanjung Harapan, where you can see the orangutans at the feeding station.
- Afterwards, head back to the houseboat and continue to see proboscis monkey that normally hangs on the trees.
- As it gets dark, the boat will dock for a night trek.
- You will have the chance to see glowing mushroom, nightingales, tarantulas, and others.
- Dinner will be served on the houseboat and you can enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure.
Day 2
- Today is your second day on the cruise and you will have two stops to see the orangutans.
- Breakfast is served on the boat, then, you will walk to the feeding station for about 15 minutes and get the best pictures of the orangutans! Head back to the boat and continue to Camp Leakey, where you will get another chance to see the orangutans.

- Lunch will be served on the boat.
- In the evening, the boat will dock at Nipah palm area, where you have the possibility to see fireflies during dinner time.
- Afterwards, you can enjoy the remainder of the day at your own leisure.
Day 3
- After breakfast in the morning, the boat will bring you back to the harbor.
- Upon arrival at the harbor, you will be picked up and then transferred by car to Pangkalan Bun airport for your next destination.
Faq's
Pangkalan Bun is only reachable via Jakarta, Semarang, and Surabaya (direct flight). Therefore, for those wanting to visit Pangkalan Bun right after their international flight, we suggest that you fly to either Jakarta or Surabaya. For those arriving in Yogyakarta, Semarang is just a 2.5-hour drive away.
