Itinerary
Day 1
- Sacred Valley of the Incas, starting at 6:15 AM with pick up hotels near the center of the Cusco.
- We’ll drive you for 45 minutes to Chinchero.
- At Chinchero, our guide will show you around the old Inca site and a beautiful old church.
- You’ll also get to meet a local family and see how they make traditional fabrics with natural dyes.
- Next, we’ll visit Moray to see its amazing round terraces built by the Incas.
- Our guide will tell you about the history of the place and you’ll have time to take pictures and look around.
- Then, we’ll head to the Maras salt mines.
- You’ll learn how the salt is harvested and see some unique salt crafts.
- There will be plenty of chances to take photos.
- We’ll stop in the lovely town of Urubamba for a tasty buffet lunch around 12:30 PM.
- After lunch, we go to Ollantaytambo and tour the archaeological site there, finishing around 3:00 PM.
- If you’d like to end your tour in Ollantaytambo, you can choose to stay.
- Lastly, we drive to the Pisac archaeological site.
- Our guide will take you around the terraces and you can take more stunning photos.
- We plan to be back in Cusco by about 6:30 PM, after a full day of discovering the history and beauty of the Inca lands.
