1. Thrilling Flight to Lukla
Your adventure begins with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Himalayas. The landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
2. Trekking Through the Khumbu Valley
Enjoy an immersive trek through Sherpa villages, crossing suspension bridges, yak pastures, and lush forests before reaching the high-altitude landscapes of Dingboche and Chhukung.
3. Island Peak Base Camp & Summit Push
At 5,100m, the Base Camp is the staging ground for your technical climb. After pre-climb training, you’ll ascend via fixed ropes, ice axes, and crampons, tackling steep ice walls and snowy ridges before reaching the summit at 6,189m.
4. Panoramic Himalayan Views

Itinerary
Day 1
- Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,338 m/4,390 ft) Welcome to Nepal! Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Kathmandu.
- After check-in, you'll attend a pre-trek briefing where we’ll go over the itinerary, safety measures, and gear checklist.
- In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Nepali cuisine.
Day 2
- Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,800 m/9,187 ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,652 m/8,700 ft) An early morning scenic flight to Lukla, one of the most thrilling airports in the world, marks the start of our adventure.
- After meeting our porters and guides, we begin our trek, descending through beautiful pine forests and crossing suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River before reaching Phakding.
- Flight Duration: 35 minutes Trek Duration: 3–4 hours Highlights: Stunning aerial views of Everest, first glimpse of Sherpa villages
Day 3
- Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m/11,280 ft) Today's trek takes us along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several high-suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge.
- After entering Sagarmatha National Park, we ascend through pine forests to the bustling Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest.
- Trek Duration: 5–6 hours Highlights: First view of Mt.
- Everest, Sherpa villages, Namche’s lively market
Day 4
- Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar To adjust to the altitude, we spend an extra day in Namche.
- A short hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880 m) provides breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
- You can also explore the Sherpa Museum and Namche's bakeries.

Day 5
- Day 5: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870 m/12,697 ft) We continue through rhododendron forests, descending to the Dudh Koshi before climbing up to Tengboche, home to the largest Buddhist monastery in the region.
- The monastery offers spiritual blessings for climbers, and the panoramic views of Everest and Ama Dablam are mesmerizing.
- Trek Duration: 5–6 hours Highlights: Tengboche Monastery visit, sunrise & sunset views over Everest
Day 6
- Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,360 m/14,305 ft) Leaving Tengboche, we pass through Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement in the Khumbu, with a monastery that claims to have Yeti relics! As we ascend, the tree line fades, and we enter alpine terrain before reaching Dingboche, a beautiful valley surrounded by snowy peaks.

Day 7
- Day 7: Trek from Dingboche to Chhukung (4,730 m/15,519 ft) A short but scenic trek takes us to Chhukung, where we prepare for the climb.
- The trail offers amazing glacier views, and we begin to feel the increasing altitude.
- Trek Duration: 3–4 hours Highlights: Views of Island Peak, glaciers, acclimatization preparation
Day 8
- Day 8: Hike to Island Peak Base Camp (5,200 m/17,061 ft) and Pre-Climb Training Today, we hike to Island Peak Base Camp, passing through glacier moraines and rugged terrain.
- Upon arrival, we set up camp and attend a pre-climb training session, where guides demonstrate the proper use of climbing gear, including ice axes, crampons, ropes, and harnesses.
- Trek Duration: 3–4 hours Highlights: Glacier walk, climbing training, spectacular mountain scenery
Day 9
- Day 9: Summit Island Peak (6,189 m/20,306 ft) and Return to Base Camp The most challenging and rewarding day! We start early (around 2 AM) to make the steep ascent, using fixed ropes and ladders to cross crevasses.
- After reaching the summit of Island Peak, we enjoy breathtaking 360° views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu before descending to Base Camp.
- Climbing Duration: 10–12 hours Highlights: Exhilarating summit climb, glacier crossing, unmatched mountain views
Day 10
- Day 10: Contingency Day This extra day is reserved in case of bad weather or unforeseen delays during the summit attempt.
- If not needed, it can be used for a relaxed descent.
Day 11
- Day 11: Trek from Chhukung to Namche Bazaar (3,438 m/11,280 ft) We retrace our steps down the valley of Chhukung and Dingboche, enjoying the warmer climate and denser oxygen levels as we descend back to Namche Bazaar.
- Trek Duration: 6–7 hours Highlights: Relaxing trek, revisiting Sherpa villages, bakeries at Namche
Day 12
- Day 12: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,800 m/9,187 ft) On our final trekking day, we descend through forests, villages, and suspension bridges back to Lukla.
- In the evening, we celebrate the successful climb with a farewell dinner with the trekking team.
- Trek Duration: 6–7 hours Highlights: Celebration with guides & porters, last Himalayan sunset
Day 13
- Day 13: Fly Back to Kathmandu (1,338 m/4,390 ft) We take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, where you can relax at your hotel or explore the city.
- Optional sightseeing tours include Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, or Thamel’s shopping streets.
- Flight Duration: 35 minutes Highlights: Kathmandu sightseeing, cultural exploration
Day 14
- Day 14: Free Day in Kathmandu A buffer day to rest, shop for souvenirs, or take part in additional activities such as a day trip to Bhaktapur, Everest scenic flight, or spa & massage therapy.

- Day 15: Departure from Kathmandu Our team will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.

Faq's
The best seasons for Island Peak climbing are spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November). During these months, the weather is stable, with clear skies and favorable climbing conditions.
Island Peak is a technical trekking peak, so some basic mountaineering experience is helpful but not mandatory. Pre-climb training at Base Camp will cover the use of ice axes, crampons, and fixed ropes. However, good physical fitness and high-altitude trekking experience are highly recommended.
