Description
In addition to being a breathtaking lake with great mythological importance, Gosaikunda Lake is a wonderful place to go trekking. One of the primary characteristics of the 4,380 (14,370 feet) elevation in the Rasuwa District of Nepal's Langtang National Park is the alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake, which serves as the primary source of the Trishuli River.
This lake hike is suitable for people who have limited time and want to see more in a short amount of time. October through June are the six months that the lake is frozen. The beginning of this walk is at the little village of Dhunche, Rasuwa. Of course, the most amusing part of this lake excursion is the designated scary lake. But, the main characteristic of this area is the traditional clothing that people still wear, along with the customary "Khukuri" that everyone carries. Mani stones and gompas are common, and the Tamang community comprises the bulk of the population. You may visit the oldest cheese factory and gompa in Chandanbari. To reach Lauribinayak, the trek truly tests your strength. This particular peak offers an amazing view of Ganesh Himal and the Langtang Range. The route passes through alpine, juniper, oak, rhododendron, and woodland walkthroughs. After leaving the forest zone, the surrounding hills and mountains will be breathtaking to view, and you'll get what you're looking for in terms of hunger and thirst. The surrounding hills and mountains will seem breathtaking. The route mostly comprises of climbs with brief intervals of flat walking. It is said that Lord Shiva formed the lake after he swallowed the poison and then stabbed his Trishuli (holy trident) into the hills to release the water so he could feel his throat.
The trek to Gosaikunda can be done from various points such as Dhunche, SyabruBesi in the Langtang Himal, or from Sundarijal in the Kathmandu Valley.
