Yala Peak is a prominent mountain located in the Langtang Valley, north of Kathmandu. Standing at 5,530 meters, it is a popular trekking peak for those looking to ascend higher than Tserko Ri (4,770m) and Kyanjin Ri (4,895m).
From the summit of Yala Peak, trekkers are treated to breathtaking panoramic views of various Himalayan peaks, including Langtang Lirung, Ganchempo, Langshisha Ri, Naya Kang, Dorje Lakpa, Ganja-la Peak, Shishapangma, and more, all surrounding the Langtang region.
Yala Kharka serves as the base camp for Yala Peak climbing, offering a picturesque meadow with a stunning sunset view of the snow-capped mountains. The next day, climbers head for the summit, ascending through glacier terrain and enjoying a 360-degree view of the surrounding snow-covered peaks.

Day 1
- Arrive in Kathmandu (1,350m).
Day 2
- Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m).
Day 3
- Trek to Lama Hotel (2,380m).
Day 4
- Trek to Langtang Village (3,430m).
Day 5
- Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m).
Day 6
- Acclimatization at Kyanjin Gompa (Optional hike: Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri).
Day 7
- Trek to Yala Peak Base Camp (4,800m).
Day 8
- Summit Yala Peak (5,732m) and return to Base Camp.
