Description
Singu Chuli Climbing 2025/2026
Singu Chuli, also known as the "Fluted Peak," stands at an impressive 6,501 meters (21,329 feet) in the Annapurna region of Nepal, offering a challenging and rewarding climbing experience for mountaineers. This ascent is classified as technically demanding, making it suitable for climbers with prior high-altitude experience and solid physical fitness. The climb involves navigating steep snow and ice sections, requiring the use of crampons and ice axes, particularly as climbers approach the summit, where conditions can be unpredictable. Proper acclimatization is essential, with a base camp typically established at around 4,800 meters (15,748 feet) to allow climbers to adjust to the altitude effectively.
A standard itinerary for the Singu Chuli expedition spans approximately 12 to 15 days, starting with a flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, followed by a trek through the stunning Annapurna Conservation Area, characterized by breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural experiences. The costs for the expedition generally range from $2,800 to $4,500 per person, depending on the trekking agency and the services included, such as permits, meals, and accommodations. Detailed topographic maps of the region are crucial for safe navigation, helping climbers identify key terrain features and potential hazards.
